Just thought I would share a few photos from my time at The Lab Event last weekend. I'm not anywhere close to being a bride, but I still had a pretty good time getting all fancied up in Sarah Seven gowns and trying every flavor of wedding cake imaginable. If you're hungry for more, there are a couple of snapshots from the event on Instagram too.
This weekend I'll be in Sonoma struttin' down the runway at The Lab Event! I'll be wearing gorgeous gowns by Sarah Seven, along with a bevy of beautiful Bay Area bloggers. The evening promises to be full of inspiration and delight for recently engaged lovebirds, bridal party members, and hopeful romantics that just love everything to do with weddings.
This past weekend the man friend and I took a train ride up the Pacific coast from San Francisco to Seattle (and then to a tiny mountain town called Leavenworth) and it was a blast! It was our first time taking a long distance train ride in the U.S. and it was way more fun than I was expecting. We had a very tiny sleeper car room, but we spent most of the ride sipping coffee and wine and staring out the windows of the Parlour Car (which was an awesome lounge reserved for sleeper car passengers). The views through the mountains were incredibly beautiful and something about traveling by train made it seem sort of magical. If you have the time and are looking for a little adventure, I highly recommend it.
Last weekend, the boyfriend and I joined in on The Color Run, and I have to admit it was probably the most fun I will ever have running a 5K race. For those of you that have no idea what I am talking about, The Color Run is a touring 5K that is part run, part Holi style party. Trust me, if it comes to your town... you should sign up. It's basically an excuse to have fun outside, get a little exercise, and get really dirty with a bunch of happy strangers. That's what weekends are all about, right?
Just thought I would share a few snapshots of my life lately according to Instagram (I'm @rgunthrie if you care to follow along). I've been doing a lot of baking and just sort of taking it easy over the past couple of weeks, but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things now so hopefully I'll be posting more often. Here's to a great week ahead!
Once again, Lucky FABB did not fail to delight and inspire. I had such a great time listening to the panel speakers and hearing words of advice and inspiring stories from Zac Posen, Janie Bryant, and Elizabeth Banks (to name a few). After the conference I got a chance to catch up with old friends and meet a few new ones while sipping on lychee martinis and listening to a beautiful performance by A Fine Frenzy. My only regret is that I didn't get to meet more people at the conference!
Hello from Bali! Here are a few quick snapshots from our vacation so far. The mister and I spent the past week in Chiang Mai and had a wonderful time. We took waaaay too many photos, so as soon as we get back and I sort through them all, I'll post the highlights (be warned... this post will include lots of elephant photos).
