Well, all of the snow melted here in Washington, so I was able to venture outside in something other than boots. Luckily it was just in time for today's style challenge with Meghan and Krystal. This week we decided to get out our fancy flats... which I admit is a bit easier for me than the other girls. Being 5'11", I actually wear flats pretty often in order to avoid the 'Amazon Woman' stares.

The snow made everything sort of magical for our trip up to Leavenworth the other day. We wandered around in the woods along the river and then headed in to town to see everything all lit up for the holidays.

I'm spending some time in Washington for the holidays and was delighted to get a white Christmas this year! We went for a stroll in the snow and snapped a few photos along the way. We didn't build any snowmen, but there was definitely a snowball fight. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

We has so much fun doing our style challenge last week that Meghan, Krystal, and I decided we should have another round! This week we were on a mission to come up with a holiday sweater look. I'm going to be really honest... I had a much better holiday sweater to post for this week's style challenge (there are little skiing people on it!!)... and I wore it, but I completely forgot to take photos that day!

This outfit has a lot (probably too much) going on and would probably be way more awesome if I was 80 years old, but it was comfortable and fun to wear so I figured I would share it with you all. Also, this is definitely my new favorite coat so I will apologize in advance for the bazillion times you will see it on my blog until I get sick of wearing it (or until spring comes).

This week has been going pretty great so far (my post from yesterday was featured in the New York Times!), but Friday can not come fast enough. I am pretty excited to see my family and have a little down time around the fireplace. What are you doing for the holidays?

This was one of those "running down the street to catch the bus" days (honestly... that's almost every day for me). I didn't really get a chance to look in the mirror before I ran out the door but if I had, I probably would have taken off these tights because it sort of looks like I had a bad run in with some self tanner. They were actually a pretty cool rose and fishnet pattern, but you can't really tell from the photos. Other than my funny looking legs I really liked this outfit. I think I will have to hunt around in my closet and see what other monochromatic ensembles I can come up with.

This past September Meghan, Krystal and I attended the Lucky FABB conference in New York. After checking out the latest and greatest from all the different booths at the event, we all ended up with the same adorably cozy boots from Sorel. We work together, so we thought it would be fun (and kind of funny) if we wore them on the same day to see how we would each style them.

I had a bit of a holiday cookie bake-a-thon over the weekend. I'll be posting a few of my favorite holiday cookie recipes over the next week or so, but here are a few photos of my baking spree in the mean time. What are your favorite holiday treats to make?

I'm not sure how it came up, but Meghan (of Voilà!) and I were talking about our love of a good vintage find and how we both have some timeless vintage lingerie that we occasionally incorporate into our daytime ensembles. We thought it would be fun to have a pajama party one day, so we each pulled out our vintage boudoir best and came up with a lingerie for day look.
