Last Friday evening I attended the most fabulous picnic I have ever been to: Le Dîner à San Francisco. It was a pop-up picnic held at a secret location (revealed just a few hours before the event) with 2500 strangers all dressed in their best white duds. Think underground dinner meets flash mob, but a little classier. We drank, we dined, we danced… and then we left without a trace. I could have done without the random techno dance party at the end, but overall it was a marvelous time that I will not soon forget, and I definitely plan to attend next year. Now on to the clothes…

I pulled this outfit together the weekend before the event, which was a bit of a challenge since it’s October and white shoes are basically impossible to find right now. I wanted to wear something sort of vintage looking, but I didn’t have time to scour vintage shops so I hit up Market Street and found everything I was looking for and more. The whole outfit was actually inspired by the Savoy bracelet that I received last week from the lovely folks over at JewelMint (if you haven’t heard of them, go visit their site now!). When I saw this bracelet online it was love at first sight, and it did not disappoint in person! It has an art deco vintage vibe and it’s a great statement piece… I’m sure it will become a regular part of my arm party arsenal. Funny how one accessory can inspire an entire ensemble…. it’s the little things I suppose.

Thanks! I’ve never really worn all white before, but it was so much fun I think I might have to come up with a few remixed versions inspired by this look.
